Oolong Tea & Weight Loss

Many people have never ever heard about, oolong tea. Some may have heard about the “tea diet”, or maybe even that green tea will help you to lose weight. Anyway, it doesn’t matter if you have heard it or not. The point is that you are here to learn about it. Maybe you didn’t know about it either. So here’s the fact:

OOLONG TEA AND GREEN TEA WILL HELP YOU TO LOSE WEIGHT

There are no miracles about it, you won’t lose tons of fat immediately, not a kilo a week either. The changes are small, and will only look rewarding after long terms of using. BUT, you will lose more fat, than you would have done if you did not drink these types of tea daily.

So How Does This Work?

  • Oolong Tea, is a mix between green tea & black tea. It haven’t been fully oxidized as black tea, nor unoxidized as green tea – but partially oxidized. That’s the point.
    The way it works is that oolong tea increases metabolism (makes your body to consume calories a bit faster), reduces the absorption rate of fat, and it also helps to burn fat faster (mostly because it’s hot water, yes hot water…).
  • Green Tea, mostly due to caffeine and the high amount of ECGC that exist in green tea. You heard right, caffeine can help you to lose weight. And even there, there are no miracles or super boosts of fat loss.

How Often Or Much Do You Need To Drink?

I recommend drinking 2-4 cups a day. If you have a sensitive stomach or you are very intolerant to caffeine, you should stick to no more than 2. 1 cup equals about 2.5 dl if you didn’t know. Don’t drink right before bed, the caffeine can make it hard for some people to fall asleep, this doesn’t affect everyone though, and the amount of caffeine ain’t that high (coffee contains much more than oolong tea).

Additional Things To Keep In Mind

  • Just because you are drinking oolong tea or green tea. It DOESN’T mean that you can eat more candy or more fast-food. Remember that the effect the tea makes will only be seen after a long period of use. And as said, not tons of kilos/pounds are lost, but it will help, more than normal is very recommended by dietists and others.
  • Keep eat healthy, a healthy diet is the key to lose weight/fat.
  • Physical activity, remember to keep yourself active during the way. Take a 30 minutes power-walk a few times a week, or swim, run, climb. Just move yourself. This is probably the most important thing to keep yourself slim.
